Positive: Everything else. Friendly owners, complimentary bottle of rosé Negative: Cleaning fee of 40 euros felt a bit imposed, otherwise it was perfect.

We had a lovely 6-day stay in Barjols. The private pool was a real highlight, and the house had everything we needed. It’s well located in beautiful Provence, with great day trip options like Gorges du Verdon or Aix-en-Provence – both less than an hour away. The house sleeps 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) comfortably, with a double bed in the bedroom and a good sofa bed in the living room – which worked perfectly since we spent most of our time outdoors anyway. There are portable fans in the house, and due to the very warm weather, we kept the fans on and windows open at night. The hosts, who live in another house on the property, were incredibly kind and helpful. Even though we don’t speak French, we managed with phone translation – they were very understanding and friendly. A peaceful and relaxing stay!
