I asked if firewood was provided, and they said yes. However, three days beforehand, the host tells me that a fire cannot be made. The fireplace was a non-negotiable factor in my choice, so I am quite surprised that I was told that firewood is provided 60 days in advance and then three days prior to my stay, I learn that I cannot have a fire! I insist a bit on-site. Apparently impossible (a smoke issue). I ask for a goodwill gesture on the sheets and towels (72€), which the host categorically refuses... I have no resentment, but I am a bit disappointed. Wouldn't it be better not to mention the fireplace in the amenities?
